How You Can Create Lasting Change for Your Mental Health

By executing a change everyday, no matter how long or fast we do it, we are laying down new pathways in our brain.

I’ve been doing a lot of wellness workshops and I’m thrilled so many people want to make healthy changes in their life!

For many, this isn’t the first time they have tried…

As I listen to them share their personal stories of what they call “failures,” I’ve started to notice a pattern.

They’ve set themselves up to FAIL before they even get started! And what’s worse is they don’t even realize it.

So what is the “secret” to creating lasting change?  It all starts in a cow pasture!

If you were to take a look at the dairy farm near my house, you would notice there are ‘pathways‘ which cut through the property.

These pathways have evolved over time because the cows keep walking the SAME WAY every time!

Now here is the secret:

It doesn’t matter how FAST they are walking — just that they are walking on it everyday.

By walking it everyday, no matter the amount of time it takes, they are laying down that pathway in the ground.

When it comes to creating new habits, the same principle applies to us!

By DOING the change everyday, no matter how long or fast we do it, we are laying down that new pathway in our brain!

So how does this apply to you?

If your goal is to start exercising: Make sure you DO at least 1-minute everyday!

If your goal is to start eating healthy: Make sure you DO at least 1 healthy meal everyday!

If your goal is to start meditating: Make sure you DO at least 1-minute everyday!

This way you begin to ‘hard-wire’ the change in to your brain & this new healthy change slowly becomes a new habit.
